I think it's trendy for people to invent problems for themselves because it'd puts them in a special box and because of that they require special treatment.
People are imperfect and so is the world. I think the opportunities that are abound, specifically in the country, out weigh general hardship.
One of the beauties of keeping an open mind of the world is you'll see perspectives that slam against your preconceived notions and ideals like a tidal wave. But when the water recedes you'll have a new perspective that good and bad people exist in all facets of life and, generally speaking, we don't need to care about every issue we see.
None of this is to say that we shouldn't be good or help others when we can, but I've noticed a huge chance in my mental well being when I unplug from 24-hour news and headlines. Read through things and experience the world one thing at a time.
The world is a big place (that won't disappear in 10 years), but what we do with those closest to us ultimately matters the most. Be involved locally.

Good Morning Everyone,
Sorry for the early morning post, but in the interest of keeping everyone informed I wanted to share an update with you.
1) The Midweek Hump is staying as it is. No worries there.
2) Everything else will likely begin to change. I've been a touch neglectful at times in my personal life. So in order to be the best possible role model for my kids and for everyone who watches me, I'll be hittin' the sack a bit earlier for most of the week and making myself scarce on the weekends.
Family is so incredibly important to me and I've spent countless hours at this point advocating for all my audience members be present in their own life. Time for me to do the same. This change will likely enter me into a new level of productivity because I generally get a lot more done in the morning/early afternoon.
3) If I've canceled an appearance on your show, know that I'm sorry. I will reschedule, but it will be at a time that I'm able to commit and square away all other life's BS ...
